Last week, Western Eagle Foundation (WEF) launched our first Facebook Fundraiser. The fundraiser is needed now more than ever as transportation costs continue to rise, discount food is getting more difficult to come by, and we are serving more and more families every single day.
Through this fundraising effort, we are sharing the struggles many of our neighbors face, especially food insecurity. Working families, our seniors, and disabled Veterans are not always able to put food on their tables and still meet their other financial obligations. As a result, these individuals go hungry. WEF was established to fight hunger locally. WEF provides good food at a significant discount so that those that need a hand up, rather than a handout, are helped.
