Today, August 22nd is National Be an Angel Day. Started in 1993, Jayne Howard Feldman began this day to encourage random acts of kindness. Since then, it has become an entity in-and-of-itself. We all have bad days, and times that are more difficult than others. The generosity of strangers can make all the difference to those struggling.
Western Eagle Foundation is founded on kindness. Hunger is something no one should face and through Western Eagle Foundations food box program, food bag program, vouchers, and gift certificates, no one has to.
Today, consider being an Angel and Pay it Forward. Here are some suggestions:
Become a Western Eagle Foundation Volunteer and help end hunger right here at home.
Purchase Food Box Vouchers and give the to your priest, pastor, or faith leader. Most families reach out to their faith community when hunger is at a critical point. By purchasing vouchers and gift certificates, your faith leaders will be able to provide access to healthy food seven days a week.
Purchase a Food Box or two and give it to a neighbor, a local senior, single mom, or veteran who you know is struggling.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: Custom Food Boxes Western Eagle directly purchases boxes of staples each week and additionally provides choice of breads, fresh vegetables, fruits, and proteins to offer a nutritious customized food box to families 7 days a week.
