Do you have a few hours a week to spare? At Western Eagle Foundation we could use your help. We are looking for a few good people to help us out with:
Food Distribution: We have two food distribution programs: the Food Box Program and the Food Bag Program. The Food Box Program allows our clients to select from fresh produce, grocery items, and canned goods that best fits their family’s needs. Food Boxes are available every day, with Tuesdays being our busiest day. The Food Bag Program is grant-funded, and distribution occurs every other Friday and on occasion, at pop-up opportunities throughout the communities. Volunteers are needed to assist with food distribution both in the store and in the community.
Greeters: Our Discount Food and Home Goods Store welcomes new customers every day. Our Greeters welcome our customers and provide an overview of our store, services, and mission. Greeters are needed every day, during operating hours.
Customer Service: Our customer service team is amazing. Volunteers support our customer service staff by answering questions, providing program information, performing light administrative tasks, and general support. Customer service volunteers are needed every day during operating hours.
Community Outreach: We have community outreach volunteer opportunities that include speaking engagements, community, and networking events. Materials and presentations are provided. Community Outreach volunteers are needed throughout the year and include daytime, evenings, and weekends.
No prior experience is needed, and training will be provided. Simply complete our online application and we will contact you directly.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: Emergency Food Bag Western Eagle Foundation offers an “emergency” food bag of staples (canned and dry goods) with other stock available that week. Stop by this Friday, July 21st, between 10:00am and 1pm. Family member must bring or fill out self-certification form for eligibility. Please download form and bring with you to save time and money. We care about helping you feed your families and neighbors!
